Senior Power Engineer

Mr. Stamper has eight years of experience in the design and analysis of power systems.  His primary duties at CW Electric have been in performing load-flow, short-circuit, equipment-duty, coordination, and arc-flash studies.  He is experienced in working-in and designing for hazardous-areas (Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C, and D; etc.).  At CW Electric, he is the lead power engineer.

Mr. Stamper obtained a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY in May of 2001 and a Bachelors of Science with a major in Physics from Morehead State University in Morehead, KY in May of 2001.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Kentucky and Ohio.  He began his career with a consulting firm that provided engineering services for industrial, commercial, and educational facilities.  While there, Mr. Stamper gained experience in most markets of engineering.  This work included designing to State Building Codes, National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E), Life Safety Code (NFPA 101), various additional NFPA Codes that dealt in the classification of hazardous-areas, Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) Standards, and clients’ standards.  He has a working knowledge in the power-system analysis software suites EasyPower and Etap.

Additional experience includes:  Programming Variable-Frequency-Drives; Determining Area-Classification for refineries; lighting studies and layout; gas-detector calibrations; and a grounding-grid study.  Mr. Stamper has been with CW Electric since March of 2009.
