As the VP of Information Technology, Mr. Billips brings the technological expertise CW Electric, Inc. needed to complete a larger scope of engineering and systems projects and to better manage our customers’ needs.  His area of expertise includes Fiber distribution design; IP based automation and complementary technologies; IP based Telephony, Access Control and Surveillance offerings; and enhances the internal infrastructure to support company growth.

 

Mr. Billips is a graduate of Morehead State University, and holds an Associates of Applied Science and a Bachelors of Business Administration in the field of Computer Information Systems with a Business Administration minor.  He began his career as Technical Service Coordinator for Ashland, Inc., a Fortune 250 company.  While at Ashland, Mr. Billips’ staff developed and implemented mission critical Environmental Health and Safety systems required to run on a 24/7 schedule.  He served on Ashland’s Desktop Strategy Committee, which was responsible for the direction of corporate wide technology implementation and standards.  Mr. Billips also severed on various technical TEAM committees, representing Ashland’s EHS users.  Following his time with Ashland, Inc., Mr. Billips co-founded DataProtech in July of 2000, serving as Chief Technology Officer until February 2004.  As CTO, his daily responsibilities entail the planning, organizing, directing, and reviewing DataProtech’s information technology functions.  In February of 2004, Mr. Billips founded TriData Solutions after seeing a vast need for a quality Technical Services company that serves the small to medium size businesses.  CW Electric, Inc. bought TriData Solutions in late 2006 to fill their ever growing field side technological needs.
